Feel good about your deck again
Your deck should be a place you want to sit, gather, cook, relax, or take in the view, not a source of worry.
I help homeowners in Midcoast Maine repair, rebuild, and improve decks, stairs, and railings, with careful hands-on work and clear communication from start to finish.
If your deck feels unsafe, worn out, awkward, or ready for an upgrade, I can help you sort through the options and plan a repair or rebuild that looks good, feels solid, and makes sense for your home.
Whether you're looking for a durable safety fix or planning a bigger upgrade, let me know how I can help.
Now booking winter interior projects!
When the weather turns cold, I bring my carpentry work indoors. This winter, I'm focusing on three kinds of projects:
- Basement and garage stairs : Repairing and replacing worn-out or unsafe utility staircases, including sturdy handrails.
- Click-together flooring: Installing luxury vinyl plank (LVP) and floating engineered wood flooring.
- Aging-in-place improvements: Practical home modifications like grab bars, safer steps, and additional handrails to help older adults stay comfortably at home.

“Henry does outstanding work and we couldn't be more pleased with all he has done for us! He is very meticulous and thorough and cares deeply about performing high-quality work. He was very respectful of us and our home-- I give him my highest recommendation.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Nothing is more rewarding than a person who is man of his word!! Henry is definitely that and more. Initially, he answered my inquiry within a day, he made and kept the appointment to see what we had in mind, he gave us his estimate and arrived when he said he would, completing the project beautifully and professionally. We highly recommend Henry’s Deck Repair and Handyman Services. We are so pleased and fortunate that he and his family chose to live in our area.”
— Linda W, Stockton Springs
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“We needed deck work and had Henry over to see the job. It was more of a collaboration than just ‘we say, he does.’ He explained what and why, gave a detailed estimate, showed up on time, and finished on budget. We will gladly have him back.”
— Scott C, Prospect
